Overview

There’s something truly magical about a classic British afternoon tea. The aroma of freshly brewed tea, and the irresistible sight of tiered cake stands brimming with treats, it’s an experience that invites you to slow down, savour every bite, and enjoy the moment.

With this Dog-Friendly Afternoon Tea experience, you don’t have to leave your beloved pup at home while you indulge in this time-honoured tradition. Whether you’re catching up with a friend, celebrating a special occasion, or simply spoiling yourself on a lazy afternoon, these selected venues offer a warm welcome to both you and your four-legged companion.

Relax as you’re served a beautifully presented selection of afternoon tea favourites: delicate finger sandwiches with classic fillings, warm scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of decadent cakes and pastries. Pair it all with your choice of tea, from traditional blends to herbal infusions and let the experience unfold at your own pace.

At these locations your four-legged friend can be by your side while you enjoy your treats. Plus, should you choose to treat your pooch many of these dog-friendly locations go the extra mile to offer doggy delights like pet-safe biscuits, puppuccinos, or even their very own mini afternoon tea platter.

It’s a shared experience that turns an ordinary afternoon into something truly special.

The Dog and Partridge, Derbyshire

Jacki from Contracting, September 2022

What did you get up to?
We visited The Dog and Partridge, Ashbourne, Derbyshire for Afternoon tea for Two. We had been exploring the area with our dog and was delighted to be able to have our afternoon tea served in the bar which was a dog friendly area of the pub.
The Dog and Partridge Inn is located just set back from the main road, easy to find while traveling from the Peak District National Park.
What did you enjoy the most?
Our favourite part of the experience was the home-made cakes and scones. After a morning of walking the freshly prepared afternoon tea, served in a cozy pub was a delicious treat for all three of us!
