WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? 

BAS-IL !It could only be Fawlty Towers. Often voted the best television sitcom of all time, with good reason.  It ran for only twelve half-hour episodes, but perfectly captured the nuances of a 1970’s seaside hotel. Basil, Sybil, and Manuel ran the Fawlty Towers establishment, with a variety of demanding guests and long-term residents, all of whom, in Basil’s eye, were only there to irritate and annoy -  unless of course, they came with a title in which case obsequiousness became the order of the day. Imagine for a moment that you’re checking in. You’ve booked dinner and are ready to immerse yourself in the kind of mayhem that visitors to that fine establishment in Torquay always experienced. Hang on, forget imagination. Live the dream. You’re there, and a table with your name on has been reserved in the restaurant, which for convenience has opened a branch in the President Hotel near Russell Square. Basil would be thrilled.  Torquay with attitude. The Service will be, as expected, somewhat chaotic, as Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve dinner. This is a tribute performance to the actors and creators of the show. 70 percent of the night is unscripted, and expect anything to happen during this interactive evening. Pet rats? Bring them on. Just don’t mention the war……

The show will last approximately 2 hours, there is no set time for the meal.

This experience is for two people to enjoy, there will be others there on the day.
